VISION
To become a center of knowledge and technology that is superior and innovative in the field of disaster management oriented towards sustainable development through efforts to educate the nation's life so as to be able to solve problems and challenges at the national and global levels, towards excellence in Southeast Asia.
MISSION
Producing graduates who have competence in the field of disaster management science.
Building a scientific atmosphere and intellectual community through education and teaching activities in the field of disaster management science.
Developing international standard research that can lead Indonesia to the global era in the field of disaster management science.
Providing service to the community in the form of science and technology development, models, and solving various problems through a disaster management science approach.

Graduate Competencies
Masters who are able to develop disaster control efforts through the stages of disaster management, especially during pre-disaster.
able to develop science and technology and disaster management models including pre-disaster, emergency response, and post-disaster; and able to develop research and community service including studies of natural, artificial, social environmental vulnerability and community capacity with a holistic system thinking paradigm and a sustainable approach (sustainability).
