The Impact of Climate Change on Agriculture in Indonesia

Short Description

Every day, exhaust fumes from millions of vehicles, as well as smoke and acid gases from factory chimneys, are released into the air. All these pollutants are changing our atmosphere and climate. The earth’s climate is slowly becoming hotter. Many scientists believe that the increase in global temperature is due to the greenhouse effect. The increase in the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere changes the amount of sunlight reaching the ground and heat leaving the earth, so the greenhouse effect causes climate change.

The main factors leading to the increase of GHGs include various human activities, especially industrial and transportation processes that increase emissions into the atmosphere. The destruction of the atmospheric order causes the gases or solar radiation to be unbalanced in competition, resulting in climate change on earth. (Prima, 2010)
