Sejarah Perjuangan Himpasiling UI
Students of the University of Indonesia Postgraduate Program in Environmental Sciences (PSIL UI) are one of the elements in the academic community of the University of Indonesia. Students with a family and scientific spirit must be able to serve the community, nation and state based on the principles of the Tridharma of Higher Education. PSIL UI students with the provision of education and knowledge in the field of environment that they have obtained, are encouraged to participate in community service activities.
Realizing the position and function of PSIL students to the community and alma mater, the lecturers, staff, alumni, and PSIL students in the UI academic community initiated the formation of a forum to carry out these ideals. Then, with the grace of God Almighty, UI PSIL students are determined to form an organizational forum called the University of Indonesia Environmental Science Graduate Student Association or abbreviated as Himpasiling UI.

In its early days, Himpasiling UI was established by lecturers, students, and alumni on November 15, 2013 at the University of Indonesia Campus in Salemba, Central Jakarta. The names involved as the founders of Himpasiling UI are:

PSIL UI Student
Only after two months of conceptualizing a forum for student aspirations, Himpasiling UI was ratified on February 17, 2014 at the University of Indonesia Salemba Campus, Central Jakarta by the Head of the Environmental Science Study Program, Postgraduate Faculty, University of Indonesia. On that date, a doctoral student of PSIL named Rahmat Irfansyah was appointed as the first chairman of Himpasiling UI in 2014.
